J-ROCK AWARDS 2009: The Winners. [Tainted World's Polling.]

Okay, after counting all the votes, I can finally present you the winners.
Despite the open categories we managed to get winners for almost all of them. I won't post a list of all votes, but you can download them as Excel-Chart here if you are interested, or just read through the voting thread, which will be made public now. There were some oddities (like 3 people citing Rentrer en Soi as saddest disbandment, which actually happened in 2008), and other stuff I couldn't count. There were also 2 votes within a few hours with similar selections from the same IP (but different usernames). I was nice and decided that these are 2 people posting from the same PC, not an attempt to rig the vote.


So... This is the list of all ranking bands/item. In order to enter the ranking a band/item needs to have at least 3 individual votes. So some categories have more ranked items than others.

Best overall artist:

Not won by a large margin, but confortable enough.

Corresponding with Best Artist, they also managed to score Best Album.

Best mini album:

Won with a landslide victory, the highest number of votes in any category. (Not counting those categories that allowed for 3 votes)

3. 9GOATS BLACK OUT - Black Rain
4. Sadie - Gain; Shinkou Shuukyou Gakudan NoGoD - Rashinban; ViViD - The vivid color


Best single/maxi:

Due to the large number of choices, there weren't many agreeing votes in this category. Dir en grey won it quite confortably though.

TW users were disappointed with a lot of different releases, but it seems nothing was as disappointing as Girugamesh's latest album.


Most overhyped band:

1. ViViD

A lot of TW users seem to think that this band gets a lot of undeserved attention.------->OH, RIGHT. LIKE, AWW THEY'RE SO CUTE!! PSC!! DDDX

2. the Gazette
3. Dir en grey; OZ
4. Lycaon; SuG.--------->BUT DIR EN GREY, -OZ- AND LYCAON REALLY DESERVES THAT!!


Most overhyped release:

1. the Gazette - DIM

In brilliant logic, the best full album is also the most overhyped release.

2. OZ - Versus
3. Girugamesh - Now
4. Dir en grey - Hageshisa to kono mune no naka de karamitsuita shakunetsu no yami; Nega - Grave of the Sacrifice


Saddest disbandment:

1. Sugar

Among the recent disbandments, Sugar will be missed the most.

Band that changed their sound for the worse:

1. Girugamesh

A lot of bands have become worse, but none as bad as Girugamesh it seems.

2. D'espairs Ray

What the Hell were they thinking!?-award:

First rank shared between these 3 bands:

Sadie (mostly for Kagerou)------->so dissapointing. DDDX Ini band paling dicela di TW selain Girugamesh.
The Mad Simpsons (most likely for 'Executed Nightmare')
SuG (for no specific reason whatsoever)------->Voters yang menyumbang suara dan mencela SuG rata-rata ga ngasih alesan, intinya sih sebel aja. DDD:


Most anticipated release of 2010:

1. 9GOATS BLACK OUT - TANATOS
2. Versailles - Jubilee

Your wish for 2010 (relating to jrock):

A lot of different items. But quite a few hope for fewer or no disbandments in 2010. An X Japan world tour is also among the higher ranking votes.

A suprisingly clear winner.

Anyway. What's your opinion, overall? Most of my nominations I voted made their way, though some surely didn't [and I bolded the bands in which I nominated/love, yes]. However, no offense meant, I LOLd so hard whenever seeing that The Kiddie--NOAH is one of the best songs amidst all. I'm so unsure they're being objective. XDDD
